Presented by AMADA AMERICA, INC., the Awards Gala recognizes those who share a passion for manufacturing and want to ensure the industry’s future by building a thriving skilled workforce. The NBT Board of Directors proudly presented three awards in recognition of the philanthropic efforts of the recipients, as well as their unwavering commitment to the manufacturing industry.

Jay Phillips of Valley Iron, Inc. received the Power of Industry award which is presented to an individual, family, or family foundation for its philanthropic efforts. Other Power of Industry nominees include Jeff Schroeder of ITW Welding and Lisa Wertzbaugher, Wertzbaugher Consulting. Peddinghaus Corporation received the Impact on Industry award which is presented to a corporation or business that has created a culture of philanthropy within their organization. Other Impact on Industry nominees include Nestlé USA and Voss Industries. State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota received the Future of Industry award which recognizes a school or organization that has created a successful and sustainable NBT Summer Manufacturing Camp program. Other Future of Industry nominees are Northcentral (WI) Technical College and Purdue University Northwest. Congratulations to all the award winners and nominees!

The evening showcased the creative talents of artists who donated to the Gala Art Auction which included the works of professional and student artisans alike. Many of the items were designed and created by NBT summer manufacturing camp students while they were at camp.

Guests enjoyed getting a first-hand look at the impact NBT has made over the last year, as well as celebrating the 2023 award winners, networking, and dancing. The generosity of the metal manufacturing industry and NBT’s supporters knows no bounds, and the event raised over $80,000 to further NBT’s mission to ignite a passion and inspire the next generation’s manufacturing workforce!
