The Prototyping Team develops and refines new projects for our math outreach programs. This process includes finding and learning to use technology and tools needed for proposed projects, creating initial prototypes, refining designs, formalizing and documenting designs using CAD and other kinds of software, sourcing parts and determining unit costs, organizing material and work stations, manufacturing parts, making samples, and assembling kits for students. Participants may also undertake their own math, science, engineering, technology, or entrepreneurship projects.
