"Engineer Your Future is a summer STEM camp hosted by the Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering Technology programs at BYU-Idaho. The goal of the camp is to provide students the following opportunities: 1) Exposure to career opportunities in engineering design and manufacturing. 2) Experience designing a useful component or system to meet a customer need using SolidWorks. 3) Experience manufacturing and fabricating the component or system that was designed. 4) Have fun with engineering and technology. During the camp, students will use 3D printers, laser cutters, drill press, and hand-tools. They will also see industrial manufacturing and processing equipment, including CNC machining, plastics processing, and automated packaging. The camp will be Monday July 20 - Friday July 2410am - 3pm Participants should be between 14 and 18 years old (completed 7th grade to just graduated from High School). Lunch will be provided during the camp. Participants are highly encouraged to bring a Windows Laptop to camp capable or running SolidWorks. Necessary software licenses and project materials will be provided to camp participants."
